Can't Believe She's Almost a Year Old...

Here are some of the cutest 10- and 11-month shots of Rory.

In just a matter of days, she went from walking tentatively across a room to running in circles around the couch and dining room table. Her latest obsession is balls....when she sees one she doesn't just announce what it is, she proudly shouts it so the entire tri-county area can hear what she's saying. She's also learning how to give kisses and show you how old she is. Ask her next time you see her.

Random Shots of Cuteness

Here are some new photos of Li'l Bee. It's so fun to watch her learn how things work. She's like a little parrot right now, and mimics everything she hears. Next time you see her, ask her what a kitty or a fish says (video coming soon!). She's getting bolder with the walking, taking a few more steps on her own each day. She tires herself out so much that she's sleeping through the night more often than not these days.

Rory Plays with Nathan, Matthew & Grandma Bee

Rory Takes a Couple of Spins around the House

Rory took a few first steps last week, but has since decided she can move faster by crawling. I fear we're going to be exhausted once she masters walking, so we're not in a big hurry for this to happen. In the meantime, she's a maniac with her walk-behind toy. Take a look.

Racing Day in Farmington

One of Rory's favorite episodes of The Backyardigans is called "Racing Day," so imagine her delight when she got to go watch cousin Gretchen's cross country meet.

Arboretum Trip

On a rainy Sunday in September, Rory went to the Minnesota Landscape Arboretum with many of her grandparents. Grandpa Bob let her taste his ice cream, we saw the bluest Blue Spruce we'd ever seen, we checked out the scarecrows, Rory tried on hats in the gift shop, and during a break in the rain, we all went out and smelled the beautiful roses in the rose garden.

Rorybee goes to the Cabin

Here are some shots from our weekend at the cabin in late September. She's getting VERY close to walking -- she stands on her own and claps for herself a little bit longer each day! Her vocabulary's expanding a lot too. It's fun to hear her repeat letters and words, but it's amazing to watch when she's finally able to associate the word with an object or action.
