Daddy's Birthday

Inspired by the dairy princesses she met at the state fair, Rory wanted to dress up like a princess to celebrate Daddy's birthday last week. And she also really wanted to play soccer.

Neighborhood Picnic

Our annual neighborhood picnic was a couple of weekends ago, and Rory got a chance to play with her friend Abby.

Mall of America

One of Rory's new favorite places is Nickelodeon Universe at MOA. So likes it so much that she occasionally asks to "go to the mall" now.


This trip also included a quick jaunt to mom's favorite store, where Rory loves trying on "big girl shoes." Thankfully, daddy's very patient. :-)

Grandma's Birthday

Rory and Will celebrated Grandma's birthday at Sunset's near Lake Minnetonka.

Day at the Beach

We've been a little too busy to make it up to the cabin, so we took Rory to the beach right near our house a couple of weeks ago. She was still a little apprehensive about playing in the sand at first, but as usual, didn't want to leave when it was time to go.

Slip-n-Slide

I'm a little behind again, so I'm going to create a bunch of posts all at once for the month of August.

First, li'l girl got a new slip-n-slide for the backyard. Hopefully next summer will be a bit warmer, and we'll get to break it out more often. She really did have fun!
